   EC0-GROUP for Touristic Projects An Egyptian Joint-Stock Company established 2002 ,governed by the Law of Investment Incentives No. 8/1997. EC0-GROUP is considered among the first companies in Egypt working in the field of Eco-Tourism. This type of tourism depends on kinds of tourists with different priorities, where such tourist searches for tranquility, quiet life and local culture and selects the lodging place which reflect the special heritage, ecology and nature which he planned to visit.
This tourist prefers to spend his vacations in a new way that gives him the opportunity to run away from crowded places and the noise of modern life; enjoy the beauty and purity of nature with the abundance of its charming sceneries and its wild creatures and plants as well as the local inhabitants and old and contemporary cultures related thereto. This can be achieved by preparing the conditions of lodging and living which enable the tourist to enjoy nature and ecology through a set of unique activities such as contemplating nature, watching birds and erecting secluded communities and camps, and desert caravans area ; go on photography safaris, visit archeological sites and roam around in local cultural areas.   The concept of Eco-Tourism emerged several years ago as a practical option to simultaneously preserve nature and the cultural heritage of nationalities, in addition to participating in the sustainable development. Based on the data of the WTO (World Tourism Organization) it is revealed that the demand for Eco-Tourism and Eco oriented tours is remarkably increasing to a degree that it has become the fastest growing sector in the Tourism Industry, where the share of tourism relying on nature and eco-tourism ranges between 10 and 15% of total global tourism spending, and this figure is constantly growing. In light of these global orientations, the variations in touristic styles and the increasing demand for eco-tourism, the interest and concern of Eco-Group emerged, where it has laid down an ambitious plan to prepare the circumstances for this type of tourism to spread by time in several areas of Egypt that enjoy the natural, geographical and historical potentials which meet the desires of eco-tourism lovers. %20of%20ccamov.gif) Eco-tourism could achieve to Egypt numerous social and economic benefits, and in particular to whoever invests in this new field of tourism. It also contributes in a humanitarian way to raising the level of awareness, ecological education and developing the surrounding society
RAS SUDR & ECO-TOURISMRas Sudr has certainly a very good potential for Eco-Tourism development: it is quite near to Cairo, there are tourist facilities to welcome the visitors, such as hotels, restaurants and roads; it has an attractive landscape with possibility to observe the wild fauna and the rural environment offers the visitors the opportunity to interact with the traditional Egyptian culture. Also South Sinai depends mostly on tourism for its economy there is a great need for sustainable agriculture to provide sustainable economics and to combat poverty .
